Vandy Massey #23

After yesterday's fiery colours, I needed a complete change of pace and style.

I did a quick light wash for a background to a painting of some pale lilac Himalayan poppies - done without masking, just using wet in wet around the shape left dry. This was done on a piece of my new Arches Rough 140lb. Size: 300 x 150mm. I really like this paper.



Colours used: Cadmium yellow, sap green, viridian and cobolt.

And here's the finished painting:
